Rhythm game classic "Love Live! School Idol Festival" will shut down after 10 years

Developed by KLab and published by Bushiroad since 2013, it is announced that the popular mobile music rhythm game "Love Live! School Idol Festival" will shut down its Japanese server on March 31, 2023.

A decade-long classic music game has come to an end, as all in-game real money content are no longer purchasable.

However, it is announced that the game’s successor, "Love Live! School Idol Festival 2” is currently under development, and hopes to accommodate both new players and fans of the series.

It is to be noted that the gameplay of "Love Live! School Idol Festival 2" will be different from the first generation, thus fans might take some time to get used to it.

Additionally, the first game’s records will not be directly inherited, and bonus contents will only be given to players according to the performance of their account in the first game.

On the other hand, an online live broadcast event will be held on February 2, 2023, and relevant information about the second generation will be announced at that time. As for whether the launch date will be announced, please stay tuned!
