In October of last year, renowned Japanese composer in the ACG industry, Hidekazu Tanaka, who had created songs for various anime, games, and voice actors, was arrested for attempting to molest an underage girl. In addition to the attempted molestation, Tanaka was also charged with secretly filming upskirt shots of women with his mobile phone at the Ebisu Station in Tokyo, as well as exposing his genitals and engaging in indecent acts towards women on train.

Today, at the initial trial held in the Tokyo District Court, Tanaka pleaded guilty to all charges. It was revealed that Tanaka had been following women onto trains and attempting to molest them because he was attracted to their appearance and aura. He also admitted to the act of voyeurism during the past ten years.

Hidekazu Tanaka has been active in the ACG field and joined the MONACA agency in 2010 for music composition. He has worked on many well-known anime and game soundtracks, such as The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Nyaruko: Crawling with Love, Black Butler II, Wake Up, Girls!, Working!!, and Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, among others.
