The original anime Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night, produced by Doga Kobo, recently released its first trailer and announced the main cast of voice actors.
The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.
Meanwhile, a manga adaptation will begin serializing on the Magazine Pocket website in the same month, with artwork by Niko Fujii.
Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night is a youth ensemble drama with Shibuya's nighttime as its central theme. The story revolves around a young girl who wanders through the night in Shibuya but has her life changed by a unique encounter. The series features the collaborative effort between Ryohei Takeshita, who previously directed Eromanga Sensei, and Yuuki Yaku, the original author of Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki.
