According to GamesIndustry, the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom had a very impressive debut in the UK, with physical sales exceeding at least 50% of that of Hogwarts Legacy, which was released earlier this year. In addition, the game also sold 2.7 times more than its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Other than that, within less than a week of release, Tears of the Kingdom has already surpassed the sales of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, becoming the eighth best-selling game in the Zelda series in the UK. Judging by its momentum, it does seem like Tears of the Kingdom will reach top three in no time.
