In February of this year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed at a financial conference that they would participate in this year's E3 2023 exhibition. However, just a month later, Ubisoft revealed to VGC that they had changed their mind and decided not to participate in E3 2023. As a result, they have scheduled the Ubisoft Forward event to present new information regarding their upcoming games on June 12.

Following the opt-out of the three major players: Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, Ubisoft has also confirmed that they will not participate in E3 2023. With only three months remaining until the event's official opening, as of now, no major company has announced their participation, raising serious questions about the lineup for the returning event.
