在《牧场物语 Welcome！美丽人生》中，玩家将来到远离大都市的山间村落，名为「遗忘谷」，经营一家小小的牧场，度过在动物、农作物、新的家人和住民们围绕的人生。而这个过程中，玩家可以结识到伴侣、结婚生子，享受家庭欢乐时光的同时协助牧场的工作，创造令人铭记于心的回忆。此外，据介绍得知，本作由共 6 章以时间串联的故事构成，记录从青年到暮年，长达数十年的人生，而且在遗忘谷的人事物，都会随着时间的流失，年龄也不断增长，所以好好珍惜每个时光度过美好人生。
