During the recent Nintendo Direct livestream, Detective Pikachu Returns, the official sequel to Detective Pikachu, was announced with a new trailer. The game is set to be released on October 6, 2023, and will be available on Nintendo Switch. Additionally, it was also revealed that the game will feature new Pokemons from Pokemon Sword & Shield.

According to official introduction, in Detective Pikachu Returns, search for clues in Ryme City, where Pokémon and humans coexist in harmony. With the help of many other Pokémon, Tim and his talkative Pikachu partner work together to solve a series of mysterious incidents in this cinematic adventure game.
