在今年 2 月份时，TV 动画《鬼灭之刃》官方就宣布第二季「游廓篇」将会在 2021 年内播映，而近日日媒报道透露，第二季预计会在今年 10 月份于富士电视台播出。
TV 动画第二季《鬼灭之刃：游廓篇》故事承接《鬼灭之刃：无限列车篇》电影后续剧情，在电影战斗结束后 4 个月，音柱「宇髄天元」寻找炭治郎小队一同潜入「花街」吉原游廓，并调查疑与鬼有关的人口失踪事件。
