The Pokemon Company 在今日举办的《宝可梦》25 周年纪念直播会面上除了发表《宝可梦 钻石 / 珍珠》的重制版情报以外，还发表一款全新的宝可梦开放世界新作《Pokemon Legends Arceus》，本作预定将在 2022 年发售，登陆 Nintendo Switch 平台。
根据官方释出的预告以及资料所述，《Pokemon Legends Arceus》中的宝可梦会一直出现在地图周围，玩家除了可以使用自己的宝可梦来作战以外，还可以潜伏在草丛中捕获宝可梦，游戏舞台设定在神奥地区，而玩家在一开始可以选择「木木枭」、「火球鼠」和「水水獭」其中一只作为伙伴一同冒险。除此之外，这次的全新作品也作出了一些新的突破，增加了更多动作与 RPG 元素玩法，提供前所未有的宝可梦冒险体验。
