Original anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, produced by SHAFT animation studio and directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, is set to commemorate its tenth anniversary with the release of an anime film titled Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-. During yesterday's "Aniplex Online Fest 2023" event, the film unveiled its latest trailer and visuals, indicating its expected premiere in the winter of 2024.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- is a sequel released following the 2013 film Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion. The cast of voice actors and production team remain the same as in the previous installments of the series.
According to Crunchyroll's description of the original anime,
She has a loving family and best friends, laughs and cries from time to time… Madoka Kaname, an eighth grader of Mitakihara middle school, is one of those who lives such a life. One day, she had a very magical encounter. She doesn’t know if it happened by chance or by fate yet. This is a fateful encounter that can change her destiny- This is a beginning of the new story of the magical witch girls.
