在今年 2 月份《鬼灭之刃》TV 动画第二季完结之后，很快的就宣布了第三季「锻刀村篇」的制作决定。而经过两个月的时间，官方公开了《鬼灭之刃：锻刀村篇》首个前导预告片，当中可以看到钢铁冢萤正在锻造着新的日轮刀，同时也出现了时透无一郎（霞柱）以及甘露寺蜜璃（恋柱）的身影。
