In case you didn't know, you can't pet dogs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom due to the game's programming limitations. This means that you can only watch as the adorable dogs in the game wag their tails and show affection without being able to touch them (you can still feed them though) ...

However, it turns out that not even the game can stop players' determination to pet the lovely dogs. Recently, players on Twitter have been actively attempting to break free from the game's limitations in order to have a closer interaction with their beloved dogs on the vast land of Hyrule:
