The sequel of interactive mystery text adventure game series The Wolf Among Us, The Wolf Among Us 2: Telltale Series, developed by Telltale Games, announced today that the game will be delayed and will not be released in 2023. CEO Jamie Ottilie stated that in order to develop a higher quality game, the team needs to spend more time on it.
The game was originally developed with Unreal Engine 4, but later the team decided to switch to Unreal Engine 5 with more features. As a result, a large portion of the development work that was done using UE4 needs to be remade. CEO Jamie Ottilie is also one that opposes overworking culture. Therefore, the decision to delay the release of The Wolf Among Us 2: Telltale Series is also to avoid overworking the team. The detailed release date after the delay has not been announced yet, and we'll need to wait for further information to be released in the future.
