Cave, a veteran developer of bullet hell games, known for titles such as DoDonPachi and Mushihimesama, has announced that they have obtained authorization from Team Shanghai Alice and are developing a new mobile game for the Touhou Project franchise.

According to reports, the game is scheduled to be officially released for Android / iOS on November 22, 2023, with some of the in-game screenshots unveiled. The core features of the game have been implemented and are currently being fine-tuned and improved to ensure that the game can be launched in its ideal form.

The Touhou Project is a bullet hell shoot 'em up game series created by the Team Shanghai Alice. As of now, the series has released 18.5 titles and is currently considered one of the pinnacle works in the bullet hell shoot 'em up game genre. The unique worldview, challenging bullet patterns, distinctive background music, and character designs of Touhou Project have earned it many die-hard fans.
