在今日举办的任天堂直面会上，官方公布了旗下《皮克敏》系列新作《皮克敏4》的全新预告片，同时也宣布本作将于 7 月 21 日正式发售，登陆 Switch 平台。
《皮克敏》系列是由宫本茂设计，任天堂所研发的即时战略类游戏，最早于 2001 年推出，紧接着在 2004、2013 推出了续作《皮克敏2》、《皮克敏3》，时隔 10 年后终于迎来正统续作《皮克敏4》。在游戏中，玩家将指挥名为皮克敏的微小生物，展开一系列的冒险，包括战斗、探索、收集道具等等。
