It is confirmed that Mortal Kombat 12 will be launched this year, as announced by Warner Bros. Discovery's executive vice president of global strategy Andrew Slabin during the company's earnings call earlier today.

"And there's lots more to come, including the highly-anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, games also set for release this year with amibitious launch projections," said Slabin. No further details have been announced yet.

With the game releasing in the same year as Street Fighter 6, and possibly within the same window as Tekken 8, fighting game enthusiasts can brace themselves for an exciting year ahead.
