The TV anime adaptation of the light novel series Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig, written by Japanese author Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi Tohsaka, released its second PV during the "Aniplex Online Fest 2023" event held yesterday. The anime is scheduled to begin airing on October 7, 2023, with production handled by Project No.9 and direction by Masayuki Takahashi.
The story of Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig centers around an unattractive otaku who, after fainting while consuming raw pig liver, finds himself reincarnated as a pig. In this unfamiliar world, he encounters Jess, a girl with the ability to read minds. Jess accepts him for who he is, although she harbors intentions of eventually eating him. Nevertheless, she faces a looming threat, and the pig, with his newfound abilities like a heightened sense of smell, becomes her sole hope for rescue.
