继日前《Silent Hill 2 Remake》正式发表之后，负责研发的 Bloober Team 总裁 Piotr Babieno 透露，实际上此项目从 2019 年就开始进行，也就是研发了三年左右，并由 Konami 公司提供资金，目前《Silent Hill 2 Remake》已经进入最后的制作阶段。此外，负责人还表示 Konami 可能不久之后就会紧接着公布更多信息，其中包括发售日期等等。
根据此前的情报，本作《Silent Hill 2 Remake》将优先登陆 Playstation 5 平台限时独占 1 年，结束独占后登陆 PC Steam 平台。
