The remastered version of Idol Mahjong Final Romance 4, originally developed by Video System in 1998, will be released on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2023, as announced by City Connection.

Idol Mahjong Final Romance is a popular series of mahjong games featuring beautiful anime girls that was initially released in large arcade cabinets in 1991. In the game, you will employ different skills and items to secure victory in mahjong matches in order to win over the various featured female characters. Victories will reward you with beautiful cutscenes.

The upcoming Idol Mahjong Final Romance 4 Remaster has enlisted the original character designer, Gomoku Akatsuki, to improve on the game's visuals, resulting in a significant visual upgrade across the game. Not only that, the remastered edition will also feature fully voiced dialogue for the characters, HD graphics, enhanced victory reward animations, and an album mode where players can review various illustrations and animations. The game is currently slated for release in 2023, with a specific launch date yet to be announced.
