不久前外媒 GamesBeat 就爆料 Electronic Arts 正在筹备重启一款“沉睡已久”的经典游戏 IP，而在最近他再度爆料，确定 EA 打算重启的就是《Dead Space》系列作品，由 EA Motive Studios 负责开发，据说并非推出新续作，而是完全重制版。
除此之外，报道中还提到之所以 EA 打算重启《Dead Space》系列，是因为发现到《Resident Evil 2 Remake》之类的作品取得不错的成绩，才决定作出相关的重启计划。如果以上爆料属实，那很大可能会在 7 月 22 日的 EA Play Live 活动上正式发表。
