《Crash Bandicoot 4：It's About Time》故事讲述着「Neo Cortex」和「Nefarious Tropy」博士逃脱了他们的多维监狱，并打破了时间和空间的界限，展开了穿越时空的冒险之旅。本作依旧保留着原本的游戏玩法，同时原班角色也会在本作登场，并追加了全新的机制以及各种全新能力。
