由 Electronic Arts 旗下 DiCE 游戏工作室所研发的系列新作《Battlefield 2042》早在先前就已经正式发表，宣布将在 10 月 22 日发售，但近日官方表示决定延期至 11 月 19 日发售，因全球 COVID-19 疫情对开发团队造成不少影响，所有开发人员依然无法回到工作室展开研发工作，只能持续在家工作，所以不得不延迟发售争取更多时间打磨游戏。至于公测的更多消息会在本月晚些公布。
《Battlefield 2042》会是一款回归经典全面战争的 FPS 射击游戏，背景设定在混乱的近未来世界，讲述着美国和俄罗斯处于战争的边缘，代理战争已经进行了数十年，造就出许多经验丰富但流离失所的退伍军人。这些专家将利用他们的专长技能来塑造一个值得奋斗的未来。
