MIXI has announced a new mobile game titled Mystery Record, which is a multiplayer mystery-solving game that could accommodate up to four players.
While its release date is still unknown, the game is now available for pre-registration on the Japanese Appstore and Google Play Store.
The developing team revealed that manga artist Haro Aso is behind the creation of Mystery Record's world. He is also the creator of the famous manga series Alice in Borderland, which was adapted into a live-action drama series by Netflix.
Besides, the game's puzzle are co-developed by SCRAP (Japan's largest real escape game provider), Tumbleweed (the team behind various puzzle TV shows), and AnotherVision (Puzzle club of The University of Tokyo).
Set in a deserted world, players will wake up from an unfamiliar place and embark on a series of adventures. Other than fighting off monsters, players must also work with others to solve puzzles, in order to one day unwrap the mystery behind this world.
