Developed by Ankake Spa and published by Marvelous & XSEED Games, the bullet hell action RPG Touhou: New World (previously known as Touhou Shinsekai: Longing for an Alternative World) launches today for Nintendo Switch and PC. On the other hand, the game's PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions are set to be released on September 12.

Touhou: New World is an action role-playing game set in “Gensokyo”, a land deep in the mountains of Japan, which is isolated from the world by barrier. Players will assume the role of Reimu and Marisa who were blown outside the barrier by a strange phenomenon, where they will meet Touko who possesses supernatural powers and yearns for Gensokyo.
