At this year's Tokyo Game Show 2023, we had the privileged to interview Masayoshi Yokoyama, the director of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, we asked about the potential inclusion of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in the Xbox Game Pass lineup, similar to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
At that time, the response we received was that there were no such plansat the moment. During a recent interview with Automaton, he reiterated this decision and provided explanations for the reasons behind it.
He stated that for Like a Dragon Gaiden, Game Pass is a way of "handing overseas users our business card," allowing newcomers of the series to enjoy the game and get to know Kiryu. Results also proved that Game Pass is an excellent method for inviting new players to experience the series.
Mr. Yokoyama also highlighted the extensive content in the upcoming game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth."Completing the main storyline alone would require around 3-4 days without sleep. Thus, he encourages players to enjoy the game gradually by taking breaks. In addition to the main storyline, the significant number of side quests for various characters, along with features such as "Dondoko Island" and "Bucket List," almost guarantees a non-stop gaming experience.
