The parent company of Hololive, Cover, has just announced the termination of the contract with their first-generation Vtuber talent, Yozora Mel.
The company's statement indicates that the reason for the termination is Yozora Mel's violation of the contract by disclosing confidential information to third party. After mediation between the two parties, this decision was ultimately reached.
The Vtuber's YouTube channel and membership will be discontinued by the end of February 2024.
Cover's CEO, Yagoo, also expressed on social media: "Unfortunately, regarding the matter with Yozora Mel, our company had to make the difficult decision to terminate her contract. We appreciate the continuous support from her fans; thank you very much. Personally, I am also very grateful for her hard work so far."
Yozora Mel has been active since 2018, and it's undoubtedly difficult for her fans to come to terms with this news...
