Publisher SEGA and developer ATLUS recently announced that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to be released on June 21, 2024, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The enhanced version will feaature comprehensive upgrades, including enhancements to exploration, dialogue, combat, and other content.
Shin Megami Tensei V was initially released in 2021 and has since garnered widespread acclaim from players, with global sales exceeding 1 million units. This time, at the beginning of the story, players are offered a choice between two paths. One follows the story depicted in Shin Megami Tensei V, the Canon of Creation, while the other introduces a fresh route known as the Canon of Vengeance—a gripping saga of retribution by the fallen.
The Canon of Vengeance continues Shin Megami Tensei V's storyline, with significant narrative shifts emerging in the mid-game. Divergent paths yield distinct endings, with each route spanning about 80 hours, totaling around 160 hours for both. Moreover, the game introduces fresh elements in combat systems, demon fusion, and exploration, enriching the overall gaming experience.
