Written by Yuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly, Japanese light novel series Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki has announced second season of TV anime adaptation.
Although the release date is yet to be known, it was revealed that the second season will consist of 13 episodes, and that in April there will be an offline event to be held in Saitama, Japan.
Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki tells the story of Fumiya Tomozaki, a high school student who is the best player in the online game Attack Families. As a social outcast himself, he thinks the game has achieved “perfect balance” where equal amount of effort would be rewarded with the same level of success. Thus, on the contrary, he thinks real life is a “trash game”. One day he met with the game’s number two player and found out that she is actually his classmate Aoi Hinami. She is popular, smart, and sociable — complete opposites of Fumiya. Surprised at how Fumiya is bad at everything except the game, she decides to help him to become successful in life.
