Japanese indie game developer Frontier Aja previously announced the upcoming release of Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger's Requiem, a side-scrolling action-adventure game that features characters from the Touhou Project series. This direct sequel to Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony (also the remake of the same game released in 2009) has recently released a brand new teaser trailer, featuring the same opening theme song, "afraid", performed by Chata. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam, although the exact release date is yet to be announced.

Building off of the previous game, Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger's Requiem is a substantial upgrade to the previous title in more ways than one, featuring better graphics and gameplay, an original story centered around a new protagonist, and a richer lineup of characters. Embark on an adventure with Chief Maid Sakuya Izayoi as she finds herself in search of spring, which has disappeared along with her friends from the castle.
