In a recent social media announcement, Aniplex revealed the keywords for their upcoming anime projects, which comprise the letters "O" and "M". This disclosure ignited significant anticipation among fans, prompting speculation about the upcoming projects. A Japanese netizen (@minus__4) speculates that the projects will likely be the "Off Season" and "Monster Season" of the Monogatari series.
Indeed, the official announcement today features a special trailer and visual, confirming the production of the animated adaptation for the "Off & Monster Season" of the Monogatari series in 2024. SHAFT will once again be in charge of the anime's production, with Akiyuki Shinbo directing the series. 
In "Off & Monster Season", Koyomi Araragi's story after high school graduation ultimately reaches its conclusion. This time, it truly comes to an end. Nevertheless, the stories of those he helped persist. The tales of these girls, navigating challenges in their youth, may serve as either prequels or sequels, continuing into the future.
