The Japanese light novel series Date A Live, written by Koshi Tachibana with illustrations by Tsunako, released the second trailer for the 5th season of its anime adaptation, titled Date A Live V, during the recent "Fantasia Bunko Daikanshasai Online 2023" special event. The anime is scheduled to air in 2024 and will continue to be produced by the animation company Geektoys.
Date A Live tells the story of Shido Itsuka, who lives an ordinary life until he meets a girl known as one of the "Spirits", who is responsible for the occurrence of spatial quakes when they manifest in the real world. The power the girl possesses is capable of destroying the world, and there are only two ways to stop her: eliminate her or seal her powers by dating her. Thereby begins Shido's life of dating various Spirits and trying to make them fall in love with him.
