Bandai Namco has released a new story and gameplay trailer for the upcoming game Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. The trailer showcases some of the game's story elements and battle scenes. The game is set to release on October 5 for Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series, with the PC version launching a day later on October 6, 2023.

In Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, the Underworld, created to develop a more advanced AI system called A.L.I.C.E., is reaching its final moments. As the gate separating the Human World and the Dark Territory opens, war breaks out. At this moment, a dark knight flies in from the other side of the gate with a band of young girls. In the game, players will assume to role of the protagonist Kirito and his companions, fighting and adventuring together. Can they put an end to a destiny that can never be changed?
