《Atomic Heart》背景舞台设定在苏联称霸全球的平行世界中，玩家将扮演 KGB 的成员，前往 3826 区等待下一步指示，游戏中有着许多机器人，这些机器人原先是创作出来满足苏联工业建设需求，如今这些机器人似乎受到什么影响而暴走，玩家要做的是查明背后的真相。
