Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost set for release next year on February 8
Developed by UnknownX and published by Alliance Arts, the rhythm game Touhou Danmaku Kagura, based on the popular bullet-hell game series Touhou Project, had announced the end of its service on October 28, 2022. Following this, news of a brand new sequel titled Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost was announced.
Through official announcement during a special event held yesterday, it was revealed that the game is scheduled to be released on February 8, 2024, and will be available on Steam. The official sources also mentioned that a Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released in the future.
Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost is built upon its predecessor, presenting an entirely new storyline. This installment also features optimizations for controller gameplay, aiming to provide players with an enhanced gaming experience. The narrative is crafted by Hitoshi Fujisawa and follows Reimu's quest to rebuild Phantasia by seeking the Fragments of Memories. To restore Phantasia and uncover the truth behind its downfall, Reimu must gather Mitama cards. As Reimu embarks on an unending journey, Marisa sets out on her own quest to find Reimu.
