他表示，自己之前只是碰巧提到很想拍一部《死亡空间》电影，然后就这样传开来了，每个人都在问他打算什么时候开始，实际上他并没有准备要做，因为没有相关人士来向他联系合作，同时他认为已经有其他导演正在参与《死亡空间》系列的电影制作。
