Aniplex has announced a new anime project for Lycoris Recoil at the recent event "Lycoris Recoil Café Presents After Party! Tomorrow is another day". More details are to be announced soon.

Lycoris is a group of young female agents under the secret organization Direct Attack ("DA") disguised as high school students. By eliminating criminals and terrorists, they are tasked to maintain the peace of Tokyo.

Produced by A-1 Picture, the original anime series Lycoris Recoil tells the story of Chisato Nishikigi, the strongest Lycoris who works at a branch of DA disguised as a café called LycoReco, and Takina Inoue, who was dismissed and transferred to the same branch. Wanted to be transferred back to the headquarters, Takina co-operates with Chisato in managing the daily tasks of the café, while the peace of Tokyo is threatened by a group of terrorists.
