In these past few days, there have been rumors about Sony's impending acquisition of CD Projekt Red, the developer of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, which have sparked intense discussions among players online. However, today, CD Projekt Red's PR representative, Ola Sondej, officially debunked these rumors, stating that there is no truth to them and that they have never engaged in any related negotiations with Sony.

Not just that, the leaker who alleged Sony's acquisition of CD Projekt Red also claimed  that Sony was working on Days Gone 2. However, it had already been clarified that there would be no sequel to Days Gone. Instead, the studio is working on a brand new IP that builds upon the open-world of the game.
