由任天堂在 1989 年于 FC 红白机上推出的人气作品《Monther》至 2006 年推出的系列第三代后就没有了续作的消息，这让系列死忠粉丝纷纷感到遗憾。但也因为如此，创造了粉丝们的力量。近日，有海外粉丝表示自己自制了非官方授权的续篇游戏《Mother 4》，并预定登陆 Windows / Mac OS / Linux 等平台，至于游戏详细推出日目前还未定。
《Mother》系列是一款创作 RPG 游戏，游戏以类似现代美国的世界作为背景舞台，玩家将在游戏中对抗动物与人类生物等，同时玩家将可以在游戏中使用生活物品来当做武器，在这充满危险的世界中展开冒险。关于这款粉丝制作的续篇《Mother 4》还释出一段宣传影片，有兴趣的粉丝不妨可以期待一下。
