The new animated film Fureru. produced by CloverWorks and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, written by Mari Okada, and with character designs by Masayoshi Tanaka, known for their trilogy set in the city of Chichibu in Saitama Prefecture (Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, The Anthem of the Heart, Her Blue Sky), was announced with a brand new trailer. The film is scheduled to be screened in the autumn of 2024 in Japan.
Fureru. is set against the backdrop of Tokyo and tells the story of three childhood friends who are connected by a mysterious creature. The narrative explores the complexities of interpersonal relationships in modern society, emphasizing the theme of "bonds between people."
