根据官方介绍所述，本作《Etheria: Restart》背景设定于新时代的虚拟城市，名为 Etheria 伊瑟，而玩家则会扮演超链者与异格者一同并肩作战，对抗未知的病毒以及探索背后隐藏的真相故事。此外，在游戏中能够收集异格者的角色卡，并利用其独特的超自然能力和技能组建一支部队，展开一系列充满挑战性的战斗，发挥出与众不同的连锁组合，共同揭晓这虚拟世界的秘密。
