Cygames 旗下养成类模拟游戏《赛马娘 Pretty Derby》在动画开播以来正式迎来四周年，官方也为此举办了一场四周年纪念活动「SPECIAL DREAMERS!!横滨公演 DAY2」中，正式宣布《赛马娘 Pretty Derby》将会推出新作短篇动画作品系列《うまゆる》的情报。
官方表示，该短篇动画确定将在 2022 年秋季放送开始，短篇动画《うまゆる》主题主要是描述“马娘”们的日常，是一个轻松小品，如果想要了解马娘日常都在干什么的粉丝可别错过了。动画方面由 SCOOTER FILMS 负责，同时也释出了宣传影片。
