CAPCOM and Niantic's AR hunting mobile game, Monster Hunter Now, has recently announced its major December update called "Fulminations in the Frost". The update introduces two new weapon types, Dual Blades and Lances, along with the arrival of four new monsters: Radobaan, Banbaro, Barioth, and Zinogre.
Scheduled for release on December 15, Hunt-a-thons are time-specific events where select gathering points transform into Hunt-a-thon Points, allowing you to consecutively hunt five large monsters. The large monsters encountered during Hunt-a-thons are stronger than those typically found in the field, so collaboration with other hunters is recommended to face this heightened challenge.
Running from December 15 to December 17, the Zinogre’s Onslaught event guarantees Zinogre as the fifth monster in all Hunt-a-thons. By successfully completing special Event Quests during this period, you can earn a new Hunter Medal. While Zinogre will continue to appear in Hunt-a-thons after December 17, it will return to its regular encounter rate.
