Norio Sakurai's ongoing romantic comedy manga series The Dangers in My Heart ("Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu") is gearing up for a second season of its anime adaptation, following the conclusion of season one, which aired in June this year. The official teaser trailer for season two has been released, confirming that it is scheduled to begin airing in January 2024. The story of The Dangers in My Heart follows a gloomy and eccentric protagonist named Kyotaro Ichikawa who can't stand the sight of the beautiful and sunny high school girl, Anna Yamada. He constantly fantasizes about putting an end to her life. One day, Kyotaro catches Anna hiding in his beloved library, secretly snacking on food. The library would gradually become their secret hideout, which sets the stage for the romantic comedy between them.
The spin-off series Twi-Yaba is also centered around the main characters, Kyotaro Ichikawaand Anna Yamada. It is a series of short interactive stories that the author had released on X (formerly Twitter) at irregular intervals, typically offering sweet and lighthearted content.
