近日《Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake》官方在社交平台上透露，接下来将会由 Ubisoft Montreal 接手研发工作，根据 Ubisoft Pune & Ubisoft Mumbal 已经开发好的基础继续制作，旨在为玩家带来最佳的游戏体验，同时也感谢玩家的支持和等待。本作目前确定会登陆 Playstation 4 / Xbox One / PC 平台，准确发售日未定。
《Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time》重制版将让没接触过该系列或老玩家重新探索这段传奇故事，扮演波斯王子展开独特的冒险旅程，阻止强大的时之沙落入维齐尔手中以及拯救王国，玩家将需要掌握好时之沙，同时使用匕首来加速、冻结、减慢时间，并且解决眼前的难题。除此之外，游戏中的敌人角色模型、动作都进行了重新设计，因此玩家会有更不一样的游戏体验，还可以享受到全新的过场动画、配音、音效以及更逼真的图形、渲染等等。至于操作方面也完全按照当今的标志进行了重建和更新。
