SEGA's remake of Persona 3, titled Persona 3 Reload, has already been confirmed for an early 2024 release, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. Recently, the official announcement followed up with a brand new gameplay trailer and introduced three main characters.
In the latest trailer showcased at Anime Expo 2023, viewers were treated to a glimpse of the exciting features of the upcoming game, including in-game footage and revamped animation, showcasing the impressive enhancements made to the game. Fans were able to witness the stylish appearances of three key characters: Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Fuuka Yamagishi, who have undergone "rebirth and evolution" on the new gaming platforms, as well as battle scenes featuring these charactes.
- Akihiko Sanada (CV: Hikaru Midorikawa)
Akihiko is a third-year student at Gekkoukan High School and one of the original members of S.E.E.S. As the captain of the boxing club, he possesses both intellectual and combat abilities. With a stoic demeanor, he is admired by many students, though his stubborn and inflexible nature can sometimes be challenging. After sustaining injuries in a battle against a Shadow, he took some time to recover but has since returned to the forefront of the group. Skilled in physical attacks and Electric-type abilities, he effectively incorporates his boxing skills into combat, relying on his fists as weapons. His Persona is Polydeuces.
- Mitsuru Kirijo (CV: Rie Tanaka)
Mitsuru is the daughter of the president of the Kirijo Group, one of the world's largest corporations. As a third-year student and the student council president at Gekkoukan High School, she also holds the position of the leader of S.E.E.S. She is a serious and disciplined honor student who actively participates in various activities. However, due to her privileged upbringing, she can sometimes come across as disconnected from the real world, surprising others with her outlandish words and actions. In addition to her leadership roles, she is also the captain of the fencing club and wields a one-handed sword in battles. Her Persona is Penthesilea, and she excels in Ice-type and Recovery-type skills.
- Fuuka Yamagishi (CV: Mamiko Noto)
Fuuka is a second-year student at Gekkoukan High School, similar to the main character. Despite being calm and reserved, she often becomes the victim of bullying due to her timid nature. When she found herself trapped in the Dark Hour, she was saved by the protagonist and their companions, which led to the awakening of her Persona abilities. As a result, she was recruited to join S.E.E.S. and became proficient in gathering information and analyzing it, utilizing the power of her Persona, Lucia. Although she doesn't actively engage in frontline combat, she provides valuable support to the group through her navigation and support skills.
