After previously announcing the release of the theatrical animated film Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning at Anime Japan 2023, it has been confirmed that the movie will continue to feature the classic track "Target ~Akai Shogeki~" performed by Kouji Wada as its theme song. Today, ahead of the film's premiere, the movie's opening has been unveiled.
Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning is set to premeire in Japan on October 27, 2023, before its debut in Malaysian cinemas via GSC on November 30, 2023. In some regions, a premiere event will also take place on November 11, 2023, featuring various merchandise such as character acrylic cards, T-shirts, A2 posters, and more as giveaways.
Taking place in February 2012, just after the events of the Digimon Adventure tri. and the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, the story of Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning revolves around the appearance of a colossal Digitama in the sky. Daisuke Motomiya will find himself encountering a character who proclaims to be "the first person ever to partner with a Digimon."
