At today's Tokyo Game Show 2023 day one, Bandai Namco unveiled new information about their 24-player free-to-play battle royale game My Hero Ultra Rumble. Their booth also invited Japanese commentators such as OooDa and streamer おにやo to try out the game. The game is set to launch on September 28, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, followed by a release on Steam on September 29, 2023.
As the first free-to-play battle royale game in the My Hero Academia series, My Hero Ultra Rumble features not only charismatic Heroes and Villains but also requires players to strategically utilize their Quirks to stand out and achieve victory in team battles accommodating up to 24 players.
The battles will take place in a chaotic elimination match where 24 players are divided into 3-player teams, totaling 8 teams playing together. The playable area will gradually shrink over time, forcing players to engage in combat within it and strive to be the last surviving team. Team members have to work together in order to achieve victory.
