然而不出所料，《异世界归来的舅舅》官方推特在今日发表推文表示，目前因为制作组和相关方面工作人员感染新冠状病毒的人数越来越多，不得不停下手边的工作，首要任务是保证工作人员的健康为主，所以原先预定在 9 月 7 日放送的第八话也将会停止放送，因此整个 9 月份会以重播 3 ~ 6 话的方式来填补档期。
