NETFLIX 在今日举办的 TUDUM Japan 活动上，正式宣布由 CAPCOM 旗下所制作的人气动作游戏《鬼武者》将改编成动画的消息，并表示 TV 动画将由三池崇史负责担任监督，须贝真也负责指导，动画方面则是交给了 Sublimation 负责，至于什么时候开始放送目前还未公布。
《鬼武者》是 CAPCOM 在 2001 年于 Playstation 2 平台推出的人气动作冒险游戏，在这次举办的 TUDUM Japan 中除了公布将改编成动画以外，还曝光了本作将会以「宫本武藏」作为主角。动画故事背景设定在江户初期，描述宫本武藏受到秘令，借由鬼之篭手踏上讨伐幻魔之旅。
