At last year's Anime Expo 2022, TRIGGER announced a new project titled New Panty and Stocking related to their series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. After a year, at the recent Anime Expo 2023, the studio revealed that they have acquired the rights to the original Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, releasing a trailer for the new project at the same time. It is still unknown whether the series will be a remake of the original or an official sequel, thus fans will have to wait for further information to be announced.
